Privacy Policy

How PaintGrid Studio handles your photos and information.

Last updated June 7, 2026

PaintGrid Studio is in public beta. This policy describes how the beta works today. It may change as the product develops — the date above will be updated when it does.

The short version

PaintGrid Studio helps you make and check print-ready paint-by-number and coloring worksheets in your browser. When you use the experimental photo input, the image you choose is processed inside your web browser, on your own device. The beta has no user accounts and runs no advertising or visitor-tracking analytics. PaintGrid never collects or stores your card details itself — any paid digital download is handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy (see Payments below).

This is not a claim that we collect nothing— running a website always involves some basic technical data, described below. It means the app is designed to keep your images and your activity on your device.

Your photos are processed in your browser

When you add a photo in the Studio, it is read and processed locally by your browser. Generating the design, rendering the preview, and building your PDF or PNG exports all happen on your device, using its own processing power.

PaintGrid Studio does not upload the photos you select to our servers, and we do not operate a backend that receives or stores them. Exports are created in your browser and saved straight to your device.

What the app stores on your device

So your setup is remembered between visits, the app saves a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage: your generator settings, any custom palette colors you enter, and your selected plan tier. Your uploaded photos are not saved to local storage.

This data stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us. You can remove it at any time with the Reset control in the Studio, or by clearing site data for PaintGrid Studio in your browser settings.

No accounts

The beta does not use accounts. You do not sign up, log in, or give us a name or email address to use PaintGrid Studio. If you choose to email us, that is covered under Contacting us below.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Vercel. As with essentially every website, our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically record standard technical information when your browser requests a page or file — such as your IP address, the time of the request, which page or file was requested, and your browser’s user-agent string.

These logs are generated and handled by the infrastructure provider in order to deliver and secure the site. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not add our own analytics or tracking scripts during the beta. See Vercel’s privacy policy for details on how it handles this data.

Payments

PaintGrid Studio does not collect or store your card or billing details. Paid digital products (such as Starter Pack 001) are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which runs the checkout and handles any card data under its own privacy policy. From a completed purchase we receive only what is needed to deliver your download and provide support — such as your email address and an order reference.

While a product’s checkout is not yet live, the buttons on the Pricing page are placeholders and nothing is charged. If you do not buy anything, no payment data is involved at all.

Third-party services

PaintGrid Studio does not include third-party advertising, analytics, or social-media tracking scripts. The main third party involved in running the site is Vercel, which provides hosting and content delivery.

Children

PaintGrid Studio is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed to children under 13. Because the beta has no accounts and does not ask for personal information, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Kid-friendly and classroom modes are intended to be set up by an adult, such as a parent or teacher.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as PaintGrid Studio develops, particularly as it moves out of beta. When a change is material, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change to reflect it.
